Bette Bondo – Founder
Bette’s focus is to share everything, she has learned from inside the fashion world during her 15 years of experience in London, Milan, Shanghai and Copenhagen. She has mainly concentrated on fashion design, while also touching upon trend forecasting and teaching.
She has worked with brands such as Burberry, Derercuny by Samsung Fashion, Paris Hilton and Tie Rack, and as a tutor, she worked for Instituto Marangoni from 2009-2014 teaching fashion and accessories to 1st and 2nd year BA students. Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, China and Indonesia are some of the diverse countries, she has visited giving lecturers about fashion subjects such as ‘How do make a successful Fashion Collection’ and ‘Trend Forecasting’, as well as participating in New Talent competitions.
She’s passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of fashion designers, and making information accessible to a wide audience, or rather; anybody interested in fashion. With The Fashion Crowd, her vision is to create accessibility and transparency around a notoriously closed world, as well as offering people a possibility of coming together.
She’s based in Copenhagen, but spends much of her time travelling in order to staying up-to-date with what is going on, finding good stories, networking with old and new contacts, as well as spreading the word and good vibe of The Fashion Crowd.
Anastasiya Mozgovaya – Journalist
Anastasiya is a 21-year-old fashion journalist from Kiev, Ukraine. Despite her young age, she has already had an impressive career in her native country, where she worked as a journalist for fw-daily.com. She has interviewed prominent fashion people such as fashion designer Ennio Capasa of Costume National, fashion photographers Scott Schulman of The Sartorialist, and Adam Katz Sinding of Le 21eme, and fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad. In the impressive list, there were also many talented Ukrainian designers.
Moreover, she has worked for Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days as a Guest Manager, and this way she got her hands well into all aspects of organising and running an international, yet new fashion week. Later, she worked as an assistant for ANNA K, and experienced fashion from the perspective of a brand. This, among other places, took her to Paris, as the brand gained in international fame.
She has currently moved to Paris to pursue an international career in writing and fashion, and she lately started contributing to The Fashion Crowd. While not being busy learning French and writing articles, she spends her time (and some of her pocket money) on books in Galignani and magazines in Colette and drinking coffee in small cafes. Voila’.
Her perspective that fashion should be for everyone, and that not all young people (if very many at all) can afford designer goods for the price of many hundreds of euros is an invaluable point of view, and just one of many ways in which, she has contributed hugely to The Fashion Crowd. At the end; who is fashion for? Her great energy, sweetness, curiosity, and professionalism are other reasons, why we’re hugely happy to have her.
Gloria Garcia – Illustrator
Gloria Garcia is a 25-year-old illustrator based in Jerez, Spain. Originally from Huelva, she moved to Sevilla after high school to pursue a career as fashion illustrator, and she studied Fine Arts in Sevilla University. She’s currently enrolled in Art School Jerez, where she’s studying Fashion Design.
The one thing that you can say about Gloria is that she just loves drawing! It’s what she does for hours and hours on end, and every time she publishes something, we just fall completely in love. We came across Gloria on Instagram and after some talks on Skype and e-mails, she was on the team.
She’s still only in the beginning of her career, and has worked during Jerez Fashion Week and had her work exhibited in a famous library in Spain. Hopefully, there will be many, many more interesting job opportunities just around the corner, where Gloglo’s beautiful work can make our world more rich, sweet and charming.
And one who used to work with us:
Carina Ellen – Fashion Researcher & Trend Forecaster
Carina Ellen is Danish and originally trained to be a Fashion Designer before discovering her true passion: Trends. Identifying societal patterns and development is what allows her to understand and engage with fashion on a more strategic level. Trend Forecasting consulting for the fashion industry is today her main occupation.
Due to her natural curiosity and global outlook, she has studied and worked in both London and Paris. Previous employees include Erdem (London) and Trend Agency .be (Paris). One of her first adventures in the fashion world was fashion brand Katablack De Kopenhague (Copenhagen), which she made together with a friend from design school. The dream of having one’s own brand and having pursued this as a young and adventures entrepreneur, is something she shares with Bette Bondo.
A part from sharing her experience in Trend Forecasting, she will contribute with regular updates about what is going on in the world of fashion, as well as simply inspiring us with beautiful images for our design work. As another key skill of hers is Communication, she will help in managing our social platforms and growing the community.
Though you can’t see her beautiful face on the profile picture, her smiles and positive nature are things, we value highly at The Fashion Crowd. Though our guideline was having a full-figure photo for our Team page, we fell in love with this mysterious black-white photo, and let Carina Ellen have it her way. We look forward to see, what else she will bring our way! We know she loves all things French, which doesn’t sound too bad to us, as well as contemporary culture, sustainability and graphic design.
