And while we do so – or enrol on the arduous journey of making the dream come through – there are various milestones that we dream about; landing the first order, landing the first order in a top store, dressing a cool celebrity and perhaps being featured in Vogue or another trend-setting magazine. Of course, these are big achievements among millions of bigger and smaller tasks of various difficulties and completely worth celebrating. But once the celebration has taken off; what does it actually mean to the business and brand? Just as Copenhagen Fashion Week took place last week – at the other side of Europe there was Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days. Kiev has been doing remarkably well during the last couple of years in establishing itself as a fashion city and is quite a case study in how to enter the fashion scene of global importance among very strong players. Ksenia Schnaider is an innovative, conceptual brand created by a creative duo from Ukraine – Ksenia and Anton Schnaider. It has been on the market for five years now and is well-known for bold prints and clean ideas behind the pieces. Most of the things this creative couple touches is more or less involved with technology, and this is why I talked to them about the role of fashion&tech in creating and promoting their brand.  How would you describe the Ksenia Schnaider brand? Who is this girl for whom you are designing? What is she like?  She is a modern woman in a big city; she is honest with herself, and she is learning how to be honest with her environment. She is not perfect, but she knows how to look beautiful. She is a workaholic, but, at the same time, she knows how to party, and she loves spending time with her family.
